Felt Gingerbread Men
Here is a gingerbread man I made out of felt. These are really easy to make. I cut out two shapes of gingerbread men in orange felt. I used different coloured felt to make the eyes.mouth, nose and buttons. I also used some of mums white ric rac. I then sewed them together with blanket stitch.I stuffed it with wadding. My little sister also made one similar to mine, she glued her parts on but she did get mum to help her with the blanket stitching. The photo below shows both our gingerbread men.

Small Pillow
The photograph above shows a small pillow I made for my best friend.
I made this with 2 rectangle shapes of red fleece. I decorated one of the pieces with hand stitches. I then put both pieces of fleece together and blanket stitched all the way around leaving a small space. I filled this pillow with some wadding and then closed up the gap with some more sewing. I think my friend really liked her gift.

Pocket Warmers
The photograph above is of a pocket warmer I actually made. I made this from pink fleece. I cut out 2 heart shaped pieces and then hand sewed them together, leaving a small gap. I filled this with rice and then closed the gap.
These are put into the microwave just before leaving the house. It is best to make 2 of these, I put these in my coat pockets in the morning. When I am on my way to school on a cold morning I can warm my hands up in my pockets. These are really so easy to make.

This is a photograph of a snowman I made.
I made this snowman with fabric and fabric pens. Me and my friend made some and we made different hats and scarfes to put on them. We did all the work including the sewing by ourselves. My little sister also joined in and made a snowman picture with the fabric.

Desk Tidy
I made the desk tidies shown above as a gift for my teacher. These were really fun to make. I used old bisto gravy tubs to make these. I used sticky backed plastic to cover them and then added some lovely gold sticky tape around the top and bottom.
The photograph below shows a tub before it is decorated.
You can use any container you wish, it doesn't have to be a gravy tub. My mum has used old tin cans from vegetables or baby milk. Why don't you try to upcycle something today.

Felt Donut
The photograph shows a donut I made out of felt.
This was very easy to make, I used a cd to draw around to make the circle shape. I made this by sewing by hand. I made sprinkle designs by hand stitches which also helped keep the pink incing to stay in place.
You only need 3 circle pieces of felt or fabric to make this and some kind of stuffing. Two circles the same size for the top and bottom of the donut. and a circle for the icing. You cut the icing into a nice shape. I used a cd to get the shape for the circle and the centre of the circle to cut out. I used some of my mum's wadding to fill the donut.
These are also great to make and give as pin cushions for gifts for your family.

Plastic Bead Bowl
The photograph above shows a bead bowl that I made with the help of my mum. I used the craft plastic beads and stuck them all inside an oven bowl using cooking oil and put it into the oven so the beads would melt into a bowl shape.
I also love using plastic beads to make keyrings and coasters. I use an iron to make them, I will try to show some photographs of some of the things I have made in another post.

Pan Flute Tutorial
The photograph above is a pan flute that I made. I copied the instructions from one of the craft books that I have. It is really easy to do.
You need to have a few plastic straws. Then cut them to different lengths. Then you lie them out like in the photograph and tape them together in a few places. You now have your own instrument to play.

Introduction
Hi, and welcome to my blog which will hopefully be all about my crafts. This blog is managed by my mother because of my age but all the posts shown will be things that I have written or designed myself. I am 9 years old and I love anything to do with art, I love attending weekly art classes and have learnt a lot of new things that I wouldn't normally learn. I love sewing either with the sewing machine or embroidery. This blog is mainly to share with you all my creations or any art related topics. I hope you enjoy reading.
